Registration for spring 2022 First Reconciliation and/or First Eucharist is available in the fall. Students will prepare for First Reconciliation in January to celebrate the sacrament in March. Preparation for First Eucharist will begin in March, and students will celebrate the sacrament in early May.
In order to register for the Sacramental Prep, candidates must have participated in regular religious education or attend Catholic School for the year preceding enrollment. (In other words, these children have been part of a formal first-grade faith formation experience the year before they prepare for these sacraments.) Likewise, candidates for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist must be currently enrolled in regular religious education or attend Catholic School during the year they make receive these sacraments. Older children who have not as yet received either Sacrament are also welcome to register. Students are required to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation prior to receiving First Eucharist.

Confirmation Preparation throughout the Diocese takes place over the course of two years and begins no earlier than 8th grade. In order to begin Confirmation preparation, students must have been enrolled in Faith Formation the previous year. We call this Year 0, which typically happens during 7th grade. Students in Year 0 will meet during Family Faith sessions with their peers to cover a variety of topics, laying a foundation for a deeper exploration of their faith beginning in Year 1.
