The word cenacle comes from the Latin cenaculum for dining room, which comes from the word cena meaning dinner or supper and so is the word for the upper room where Jesus' apostles gathered together in prayer with his Mother Mary, and the Holy Spirit powerfully descended upon them. It was during this original Pentecost that the Catholic Church was born. Two thousand years later, Our Lady renews the call to gather together with her in cenacle of prayer.
It was in the upper room that Jesus instituted the Eucharist and washed the apostles' feet. It was there that the apostles received the Holy Spirit.
Our Lady invites us to enter into the cenacle of her Immaculate Heart by means of our consecration. She calls us to form cenacles together with her and to multiply and spread them everywhere.
The cenacle follows a basic format:
We pray together during Holy Eucharistic Adoration on Sunday at 7 pm at the Church of the Resurrection or after 11:15 am Mass at the Church of the Assumption every Monday.
You are welcome to join us and a prayer guide is provided.
However, you can also gather in cenacle with your family or a small group of friends. A prayer guide and the book, "To the Priests: Our Lady's Beloved Sons" may be found on the Marian Movement of Priests, USA Website: https://mmp-usa.net.
