The Knights of Columbus is the largest Catholic organization in the world, with over over 1.9 million members, dedicated to the principles of charity, unity and fraternity. (Click the link on the left to learn more about the national organization.)
Our council (Bishop McQuaid Council #7085) is made up of men from both the Church of Assumption and the Church of the Resurrection. We meet monthly, and take an active role in serving our community.
In the past year, the Bishop McQuaid Council has sponsored two diocesan seminarians and donated to or served a variety of local charities and ministries including, Focus Pregnancy Center, St. Peter's Kitchen, Hospice, Relay for Life, Mass at Monroe Community Hospital, Assumption Youth Group, Compass Care, Building Futures, Sisters of Saint Joseph, House of Mercy, Fairport Baptist Home and Perinton Parks Youth Fishing Derby, to name a few. We also support the Faith Formation and Youth Group programs of both the Church of the Assumption and the Church of the Resurrection, as well as Assumption's Mercy Fund and Resurrection's Caring & Sharing Ministry.
