Church of the Assumption and Church of the Resurrection participate in Perinton Congregations for Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity, a coalition of thirteen churches in Perinton which has funded and built eight Habitat Homes since 1999.
We are excited to announce that the 2023/2024 Perinton Congregations for Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity home partnered with six faith-based coalitions in Monroe County. The new coalition is the Greater Rochester Interfaith Builders or GRIB. The new home has been constructed at 108 Ackerman Street in Rochester, the Beechwood neighborhood.. The owner is a single female. The house is a narrow, two story, three bedroom home. This is the ninth home built with which the Church's of Assumption and Resurrection have participated. The next home is to be built at 207 Melville St. The foundation for which has been dug. Construction to begin soon.
