Habitat for Humanity believes that no matter who you are, or where you come from, everyone deserves a decent place to live. We partner with people to help them build or improve a place to live that they can call home. |
Church of the Assumption and Church of the Resurrection participate in Perinton Congregations for Flower City Habitat for Humanity (PCFCHH), a coalition of thirteen churches in Perinton which has funded and built eight Habitat Homes since 1999.
We are excited to announce that the 2021/2022 Perinton Congregations Flower City Habitat for Humanity home construction at 871 Smith Street, Rochester, is complete. The family has now moved in and is thankful for everyones time, talent and treasure that made their home a reality. Rest assured that any donation you contributed to Habitat (2018-2020 is credited to Assumption and Resurrection) was used to build this house. We were matched with a single-mother family of two. The house is also wheel chair accessible. An informal blessing ceremony by clergy representing the churches in the Perinton Congregations took place on June 12th, 2021 and the initial build started on July 17th, 2021. A home dedication event with the family occurred on March 19th, 2022. You can check out all of the homes sponsored by the PCFCHH at https://Perintonhabitat.org/
