Pictured (from left to right) are Jennifer Hughes (Faith Formation Coordinator), Julie Dapolito-Terrell (our parish secretary), and St. Nicholas (a.k.a. Deacon Phil Yawman). In a normal year, the Youth Ministry team would host a
Breakfast with Santa, but because of COVID-19 restrictions, Julie came up with the idea of a drive-through event, and so was launched
Stockings with St. Nick. On Saturday, December 3rd staff and Knight of Columbus volunteers, and of course St. Nicholas himself greeted children and parents as they drove through the circle at the entrance to the School of Religion. They received a box of delicious donut holes, a stocking filled with goodies, and a prayer card describing the wonderfully charitable actions of the famous St. Nicholas. Over 98 carloads of eager children, parents, and even dogs dressed as reindeer, approached St. Nicholas to be reminded of the joy and the giving that should be the hallmark of the Advent-Christmas-Epiphany season.
