Our Faith, Hope, and Sharing Program this past Fall reminded us that we need to be thankful for the blessings we enjoy within our parish communities at Resurrection and Assumption. Your continued support and generosity allow so many ministries to continue and flourish. Thank you! This week’s Spotlight is on the Ministry of the Shepherd.
Pictured from left to right are Mike Clark along with Sherri and Jim Pullara -- just three of the more than twenty Shepherds who help us safely assemble for Mass at both our Churches since the outset of the coronavirus. Of all the ministries that we have in our parishes, the Shepherds' Ministry is the newest! When we were first allowed to reopen our Churches to a capacity of 25%, we had to have some way to help people feel welcomed and provide seating that would keep folks six feet apart. These highly trained individuals welcome you as you enter the church and then "shepherd" you (as you follow them) to an open and safe seat for Mass. They are especially helpful when people arrive at the last minute or with a large family, in helping everyone stay safe and feel welcomed. When the restrictions associated with the pandemic are lifted, the Shepherds' Ministry will continue -- That’s how valuable a shepherd truly is!
